Biography:
James Russell Cant is a photographer and film maker. His practice revolves around themes of subjectivity, identity, memory and time. His work draws on the social sciences and critical discourse to engage with the inpidual and the personal. His editorial images and commissioned photography have appeared widely and his work has been exhibited in the UK and internationally by, amongst others, The Photographers Gallery and in The National Portrait Gallery’s Taylor Wessing Prize. He is a Senior Lecturer and MA Subject Leader in Photography at Norwich University of the Arts.
